OUR ELEGANT DINNER Train
The Hocking Valley Railway Elegant Dinner Train is a 3-hour, round trip excursion through historic southeast Ohio back-country from Nelsonville to East Logan and return. Each Train has a different dining theme with a iv-course meal prepared by renowned Chef Alfonso Constisciani and is served throughout the trip. This is a unique and memorable evening! Advanced reservations are required. Elegant Dinner Train Prices get-go at $80.00.
The Starbrick BBQ & Mash Express Trains first at $55.00 and is a 2 hour consequence.
The next Starbrick BBQ & Brews Railroad train is April 29th at vi:00 PM and is a diesel fuel powered event.
Easter Bunny Train April 16th at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM and includes an Easter Egg Chase with prizes and candy. (The chase is divided by historic period groups.)

ABOUT THE HVSR
The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 not-profit organization founded in 1972 for the restoration, maintenance and performance of celebrated railroad equipment for the entertainment and education of the general public.

Start train ride for most on my party. We had Muncies for a picnic on the train. It was difficult to hear about the history but we were able to make out important details. The village was quite a fleck of history. Everyone was friendly and informative. The kids had a swell fourth dimension and that was most important. Friendly staff!!!!

This ride happens only iii times per year, it's a nice scenic ride, but...the train is stopped past robbers on horseback! They lath the railroad train and take your (false dark-green monopoly) coin. At commencement, I thought information technology would scare kids...but on the reverse. Information technology was awesome, and they loved information technology. They were pleasant robbers that let kids pet their horses. :-)

If yous have an interest in historic preservation and interpretation, we have a identify for you! The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway has been all volunteer-operated for over forty years. Yous can exist a office of history! In that location's always a need for car hosts, brakemen, conductors, depot staff, shop personnel, rail maintainers and more! No prior railroad feel is required. With your willingness to learn, we can train y'all right from your experience and skill level.
Fifty-fifty though we are entirely self-funded through ticket sales, in that location's only and so far nosotros tin go with volunteer labor and tickets. To accelerate our restoration and maintenance projects to help preserve railroad history and make for an even greater experience to our visitors, monetary (and even tool and equipment) donations are always welcome!
